A tool is implemented among 384 students in the field of administrative economics. The statistical factor analysis method is used to calculate descriptive statistics and measures of central tendency and dispersion. The research is based on the study of five dimensions that determine the competencies linked to sustainable entrepreneurship. These dimensions achieve reliability levels exceeding 0.80 on Cronbach's alpha, which is highly acceptable. The method used consisted of a 59-item self-perception questionnaire that included the potentialities that constitute the sustainable entrepreneurship model. It was observed that the educational activities offered by the university have an impact on the development of entrepreneurial and sustainability orientation in students. Furthermore, no statistically significant variations were observed in the variables analyzed in relation to gender.
Pedro Aguilar Pérez Lucila Patricia Cruz Covarrubias Copyright (c) 2025 Pedro Aguilar Pérez, Lucila Patricia Cruz Covarrubias https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2025-10-07 2025-10-07 9 55 1 19 10.31876/er.v9i55.893 University social responsibility: a transformational approach https://www.revistaespirales.com/index.php/es/article/view/894
University social responsibility is a topic that has acquired relevance over time, especially for the development of societies, not only because of its ability to generate knowledge, but also because of its influence on the formation of citizens committed to their environment. However, their ability to anticipate and lead changes that promote social justice, equal opportunities and sustainable development lacks effectiveness. Thus, the general objective of the article is to provide theoretical foundations that support the construct of university responsibility from a transformational approach, proposing four great perspectives for this literary concept: Training, research, leadership and social action. As a result, university social responsibility, understood from a transformational approach, has the potential to be a driver of social change; universities as centers of knowledge and training, have the capacity to influence society in a profound and lasting way.
Oswaldo Martillo Mieles Johnny Edison Morales Roela Mesías Heriberto Pilco Parra Vladimir Alexander Guerrero Cortez Copyright (c) 2025 Oswaldo Martillo Mieles, Johnny Edison Morales Roela, Mesías Heriberto Pilco Parra, Vladimir Alexander Guerrero Cortez https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2025-10-07 2025-10-07 9 55 20 33 10.31876/er.v9i55.894 Marketing strategies to promote corporate governance culture https://www.revistaespirales.com/index.php/es/article/view/895
In an increasingly complex business environment, corporate governance has become a key tool for ensuring transparency, efficiency, and sustainability. This model not only seeks to protect shareholders, but also to generate value for employees, customers, suppliers, and society in general, thereby consolidating trust and corporate legitimacy. Marketing strategies are analyzed as instruments for promoting a culture of corporate governance in organizations. Likewise, it is highlighted that holistic marketing, through components such as internal marketing and relationship marketing, becomes a strategic way to strengthen corporate identity, comprehensive communication, and the loyalty of target audiences. Internal marketing is conceived as a strategy to motivate, develop, and retain human talent, while relationship marketing promotes strong and lasting links with different stakeholders. The research, which is documentary and analytical in nature, shows that these strategies favor the construction of an organizational culture aligned with social responsibility, innovation, and competitiveness. In conclusion, it is argued that corporate governance, complemented by marketing strategies, not only improves the economic and social performance of companies, but is also a determining factor for their sustainability and projection in globalized markets.
Fernando Viteri Luque Ana Lupe Viteri Orbe Edison Olivero Arias Copyright (c) 2025 Fernando Viteri Luque, Ana Lupe Viteri Orbe, Edison Olivero Arias https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2025-10-07 2025-10-07 9 55 34 47 10.31876/er.v9i55.895 Exploratory Analysis and Clustering of Microdata on Lethal Violence Events in Ecuador: 2020-2024 https://www.revistaespirales.com/index.php/es/article/view/896

The analysis of homicides between 2020 and 2024 reveals three territorial profiles. Using k-means, we can distinguish between cantons with very high levels of armed violence on the coast, moderate levels in the highlands and Amazon region, and low levels in rural areas. With DBSCAN, in addition to the main groups, atypical cantons with critical rates emerge, such as Olmedo, Pueblo Viejo, and La Troncal, considered extreme hotspots that require differentiated attention. Overall, the results show that violence is concentrated on the coast, associated with the intensive use of firearms, while other regions have lower incidence rates.

Elio Edwin Sánchez Suárez Lester Xavier Rodríguez-Cruz Meiling Mishelle López Sotomayor Irma Ines Gaibor Garcia Copyright (c) 2025 Elio Edwin Sánchez Suárez, Lester Xavier Rodríguez-Cruz, Meiling Mishelle López Sotomayor, Irma Ines Gaibor Garcia https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2025-10-07 2025-10-07 9 55 48 64 10.31876/er.v9i55.896 Burnout syndrome in teachers at higher technological institutes: a diagnostic study https://www.revistaespirales.com/index.php/es/article/view/897

Burnout syndrome, or professional burnout, is a condition derived from chronic work-related stress, which particularly affects committed workers, and not exclusively those in care professions, as was initially thought. This study addresses its incidence among teachers at the Instituto Superior Tecnológico Universitario Corporativo Edwards Deming (ISTUCED), revealing symptoms such as emotional exhaustion, sleep disturbances, lack of motivation, and physical symptoms with no apparent medical cause. Through a mixed-methodological design that included document review and teacher surveys, it was identified that, although the majority maintain their vocation and do not consider changing professions, a significant proportion experience signs of burnout. Stress does not appear to be linked exclusively to objective workload, but also to emotional and organizational factors. The study concludes that teacher burnout has a direct impact on individual well-being and educational quality. It is recommended to implement both personal interventions (such as mindfulness and psychotherapy) and institutional interventions (improving the work environment, empathic leadership, teacher recognition policies) to prevent and mitigate its effects.

Grisel de la Concepción Soto Grau Copyright (c) 2025 Grisel de la Concepción Soto Grau https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2025-10-07 2025-10-07 9 55 65 73 10.31876/er.v9i55.897
